◆ Interactive walkabout: Agent Green is the draconics expert from DCHQ (Dragon Conservation Headquarters) and knows everything about stabling, feeding, scale polishing + cures for Sprained Tail and What To Do If The Flame Goes Out. Stop her and ask!
◆ Saturday: 2 x 30 minute Dragon Tales family storytelling shows; evening Story Cabaret for adults 55 minutes.
◆ Sunday: 2 x 30 minutes family Dragon Tales shows.

All August young visitors can have at go at the Knight’s Quest and other fun activities. On Wednesdays, Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers’ new character The Paladin – a senior female knight – tells Tales of Swords & Chivalry in the splendid new Knights’ Pavilion.
◆ The Paladin has ridden cross country, dodged the quintain, cleaned mailcoats in sand, and trained in medieval sword combat. She can tell you about King Arthur’s Round Table and what chivalry really means…

Hot Off the Tongue: Storytelling for All FREE workshop
10.30am–1.30pm
Fun introduction to storytelling, in the Community Tent on College Green next to Gloucester Cathedral GL1 2LX.
If you love fantasy, UFOs, urban legends – this is the course for you. I’ll give you techniques and confidence to remember the plot, to make your words come alive, to look an audience in the eye! Open to age 16+
– Participants are invited to take part in the afternoon Story Slam.

Many of you know about poetry slams: this one does it with stories!
Participants from this morning’s workshop are specifically invited! ALL storytellers are welcome to take 8 minutes each to spin a yarn and enchant us: solo, duo or in mini teams.
Tell anything from science fiction to a classic fairy tale or a real life experience. Just no reading and no learned scripts.
Judging is mostly by audience Clap-o-Meter. Plus expert opinions from BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Richard Atkins.
